Executive Bios
Stephen Van de Wetering
is the CEO and founder of Empaxis. He is responsible for the daily oversight of operations and overall direction of the firm. Prior to starting Empaxis, Stephen worked for Advent Software as a consultant where he would advise clients on leveraging Advent's Software to run their back office. Stephen also worked at PIMCO Advisors as a project manager, migrating the firm from PORTIA to Advent Axys. Stephen's career in the back office started at Pacific Life where he maintained and automated their Advent system. Stephen has a degree in Economics from the University of Southern California and serves on the Board of Directors of a wholesale plant grower in New York.
Doug Moromisato is the Director of Client Services for Empaxis. He has been with the firm since its inception and is responsible for the overall delivery of customized, efficient and accurate information across all Empaxis clients. Prior to Empaxis, Doug was the Manager of Investment Reporting Administrator for Quintile Investment Advisors overseeing its Advent Axys system. Doug worked for Pacific Life for four years prior to joining Quintile, again as an Investment Reporting Administrator with Advent Axys. Prior to Pacific Life, he was a Corporate Trainer for T. Rowe Price Mutual Funds for four years where he trained hundreds of new and senior associates. Doug was an Operations Officer for the Nikkei Credit Union for five years and now serves on the Board of Directors for the organization. Doug has a BS in Finance/Investments from California State University Long Beach.
